Sean Tai
President
Dr. Sean Tai joined GUC as the Co-President on December 1, 2021 and was named as the President on January 28, 2022.
After holding various positions in AT&T Bell Laboratories, TSMC, Winbond Electronics and Silicon Touch, he was the Chief Business Development Officer for Realtek Semiconductor Corporation from 2007 to 2014 and also acted as the General Manager for both Realtek China & Japan. Prior to joining GUC, Dr. Tai served as the President for Nuvoton Technology Corporation from 2014 to 2021 and successfully completed the acquisition of Panasonic Semiconductor Business.
Dr. Tai received his B.S. from National Taiwan University and both M.S. & Ph.D. degrees from Yale University all in Electrical Engineering.

Daniel Chien
Senior Vice President & CFO
Daniel Chien currently serves as Senior Vice President & CFO in Finance.
Prior to joining GUC in 2006, Mr. Chien served as CFO in Ali Corp. He has more than 30 years of working experience in the field of finance. Mr. Chien received his Master of Science degree in MBA degree from University of Texas at Arlington, USA.

Louis Lin
Senior Vice President
Dr. Louis Lin currently serves as Senior Vice President of Design Service.
Dr. Lin joined GUC in 1998 and was appointed Vice President of Design Service at GUC in November 2013. Dr. Louis Lin has over 20 years of experience in various ASIC design fields including design methodology development, low power design, SOC chip implementation, program management, etc.
Dr. Lin received his Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering from National Chiao Tung University in 1998.

Simon Yen
Vice President
Dr. Simon Yen currently serves as Vice President of Marketing.
Dr. Yen joined GUC in 2007. He has over 25 years of experience in marketing and sales, customer services, R&D, and process integration engineering in semiconductor industry. Prior to joining GUC, Dr. Yen worked for over 10 years in the semiconductor industry at companies such as UMC, Acer Semiconductor, and ProMOS.
Dr. Yen received his Ph.D. degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Utah in 1997 and EMBA degree from National Chiao Tung University in 2009.

Justin Hsieh
Vice President
Justin Hsieh currently serves as Vice President of Packaging & Testing Engineering and Quality & Reliability Assurance.
Mr. Hsieh joined GUC in 2006. He has over 30 years of experience in operations, IC/SoC packaging & testing engineering, quality & reliability assurance, and program management in semiconductor industry. Prior to joining GUC, Mr. Hsieh accumulated 18 years of experiences in UMC, Mosel Vitelic, and ITRI.
Mr. Hsieh received his master degree in Photonics Engineering from National Chiao Tung University in 1989.

Jen-Tai Hsu
Vice President
Dr. Jen-Tai Hsu currently serves as the Vice President of CIPRD.
Dr. Hsu served as Sr. Director, R&D IP in GUC several years ago. Prior to that, He worked for Intel for more than 12 years. Before rejoining GUC, he was Senior VP of Engineering in Petabyte Technologies and VP of Engineering in XMC Corp. and Pericom Semiconductor. Dr. Hsu has diversified industry experience in the FAB, product and SoC IP design and management experience.
Dr. Hsu earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA in 1993.

Patrick Wang
Vice President
Patrick Wang currently serves as Vice President of Global Sales.
Mr. Wang joined GUC in 2022. Prior to joining GUC, Mr. Wang was a successful sales professional and a well experienced team leader with a demonstrated history of working at 2 leading semiconductor companies, Realtek and Nuvoton. He is fully skilled in business development, sales, product marketing, project management, and managing diversified global sales teams.
Mr. Wang received his MBA degree in The State University of New York at Buffalo in 2004.
